Liturgical Ministries

Our ministries are an integral part of the parish. We are always in need of volunteers to help at our Sunday Masses, events and support us through prayer!  Look below for more information and if you want to get involved, fill out the interest form.

Volunteer Interest Form

    Select all that interests you:
  • Names of Potential Altar Servers

    if applicable
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

Lector

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1

The role of lector is tremendously important. As a lector, you proclaim the living Word of God to your fellow parishioners. For some Sunday Mass may be the only time they hear the Scriptures that week. Lectoring requires preparation and commitment. Please fill out the interest form above.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

As an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, commonly referred to as a Eucharistic Minister, lay people can serve the Catholic Church by distributing Holy Communion during Mass. A Eucharistic Minister must be a fully initiated member of the Church (having received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation). We ask out Eucharistic Ministers to serve with reverence, commitment, and humility. If interested, please fill out the interest form above.

Usher

Ushers have an important role in the Mass! They make people feel welcome and help people find their seats. Many times, seats can be hard to come by and families are desperate for their assistance! Once the Mass starts, they continue to assist latecomers with a much needed friendly smile. They also help take up the collection, making sure it goes smoothly. At they end of Mass, they pass out bulletins, and say goodbye to parishioners.

Music Ministry

“He who sings prays twice!”- St Augustine

Music is an integral part of the liturgy! Consider joining our music ministry team. Please fill out the interest form above.

Altar Servers

Through their faithful and willing service, children can help the seriousness, dignity and solemnity of the Liturgy shine forth. The group of altar servers is made up of children who have done their First Communion and have the desire to participate more actively in the parish’s liturgical life.

Catechists

This ministry is composed of parish volunteers who wish to pass on the faith to others, especially those who are just beginning their journey of faith. Volunteers must be adults who know or are willing to learn more about their faith. No experience is necessary —we offer trainings throughout the year to help catechists and teachers grow and pass on the faith.
